Many Thanks!

Getting Adventures for Action up and running has been a huge undertaking and boy am I glad that our work is now out there for everyone to see!  It has been a great time learning some (but certainly not all) of the in’s and out’s of setting up something like this, which includes the website that you are looking at now.

Before embarking on this project the only thing I knew about putting together a website was limited to a personal blog that basically had everything laid out for you straight from the beginning.  I won’t claim that I built this site ground up, because that is not true, but setting it up and making it the way we want has been a frustrating labor of love to say the least.  What I thought would be done in no more than a couple days turned into weeks of staring at a computer and wondering why what I was trying to do was not working, followed by cries of “VICTORY!” when I finally got whatever inconsequential detail I was working on figured out.

I would like to thank a few people for their support and help in making this project a reality.  Warren Ludwig (www.ludstuff.blogspot.com), who spent many hours of his free time creating our awesome logo.  I could never have imagined how much effort that would take and we love the result.  Mark Roland (www.markroland.com), for replying to so many emails about web design that it’s embarrassing.  I’m grateful that you never got tired of my questions and hope you never do because I’m sure more will come.  Thomas Ritchie and Rob Kritzer (www.thomasritchie.com), two awesome guys who were willing to help a complete stranger with web design for no reward other than the charity of it all. You guys rock. And the folks at Organic Themes (www.organicthemes.com), for all the awesome support you provided while I was changing and tweaking the site.  Thanks for sticking with me when I was explaining what I wanted badly and did not understand how to get stuff done.  You definitely went above and beyond.

Thank you all, without your help this site probably would have taken a year to get up, if I did not give up on it all together.
